so i watched the simpsons movie last night. it was basically a long episode with better animation. i thought it was ok. it wasn't bad. the newer episodes tend to focus on hitting you with joke after joke to try to imitate a family guy style of comedy. the movie was like classic simpsons where jokes were fashioned around characters rather than randomness. i was reading yahoo user reviews of the movie and i came across this one:

Simpsons Watcher Finally Offended

I have watched the Simpsons for years and enjoyed the humor more than not, but I think the movie goes too far in mocking Christians. Grandpa's "religious experience" looks too much like a seizure to watch without discomfort. That really upset me as a Christian who believes in the Holy Spirit and as a person with family members who have suffered intensely from serious seizures. It just wasn't enough that Grandpa's experience was portrayed as an intentional act of God or that he was accurate. Some things are sacred, and some things are never good-natured.

are you serious? that part was a small part in the movie and you're going to base your whole opinion on that? RETARD. listen. the simpsons have done more offending jokes than that regarding Christianity. out of all the cartoon sitcoms out there, i think the simpsons is the least offensive.

PARENTS BEWARE!!!

I just got back from the midnight showing of "The Simpsons Movie", and I have to be honest, it wasn't that great! It is much more offensive than my wife and I were thinking it would be going in, and we left with a sick feeling in our mouth as we left the theater. I turned to my wife and asked her if she liked it and she said "I hate this movie!" Please don't take your young kids to see this movie...it is not a cartoon like the Pixar movies. BEWARE CARING PARENTS!!!

ok have you watched the show at all? it's not meant for kids! i've been watching the show since i was a child and a lot of the jokes didn't make sense until i was older. first off it's rated PG-13. all those pixar movies are meant for kids. this one isn't. moron. way to keep your kids out past their bedtime too. great parenting...

this is why people like this should remain virgins all their life. if they reproduce, problems arise...
